Since the first protest march in 1978, the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras has expanded to include over 200 different groups in the parade alone.

This design concept pays respect to the ever-growing diversity and intersectionality of the LGBTQIA+ community; reimagining the familiar pride flag as a continuous, vibrant gradient embracing revellers and weaving its way through the city.
